Cenk Yucel Bilen completed his medical training in the English section of Hacettepe School of Medicine in 1993. The same year he achieved to pass the election exam with high grade and started the urology residency program in Hacettepe University. Upon completion of the residency program with the thesis of cell cycle regulatory proteins in bladder cancer he was accepted in the department for Uro-oncology fellowship program in 1998 and he completed the program in 2000. He started working as an academician in 19 Mayis University Urology Department in 2001. In 2003 he was a research scholar in Cleveland Clinics and started his experience in minimally invasive surgery. He moved back to Hacettepe University in 2006 and founded the minimally invasive surgery section. He is still being studying and giving education in the same school as the Head of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Endourology Section. His works and papers are mainly focused on endo-urologic, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries. He is also the founder and the current president of the Association of Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery.
