Prof. Dr Wenqi Wu graduated and gained Bachelor degree from the Shanxi Medical University in China in 1999. In 2006, he got his doctor degree from the University of Duisburg-Essen Medical School in Germany. He is now a urologist and professor in the Department of Urology, Minimally Invasive Surgery Center, The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in Guangzhou, China. He is also the Vice director of Guangdong key lab of Urology.
Dr Wu’s special interest is endourology, especially in the treatment of urinary tract stone disease. He has finished more than 2000 PCNL with both X-ray and B-ultrasound guidance, 4000 URL/RIRS. He is also special in the treatment of pediatric urinary tract stone with endourological procedures. Dr Wu is also interested in enucleation of prostate,ie HOLEP and BipoLEP.
Dr Wu also focus on the prophylactic treatment of urinary tract stone. He has done a lot of work on the metabolic analysis of stone patient in China. He is interest in the menchanism study between UTI and calcium oxalate calculus.
